Signer: Sign PDF Documents (Signer on your Home Screen) lets you sign, fill and stamp PDFs on your iPhone. Import from Files, Photos or another app, or scan paper with the camera; add your signature, initials, text, dates, check marks and stamps; then share or save the signed copy. Email us any time; we aim to reply within three business days.

Common questions

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account and no sign-up. Your documents and signatures are stored on your iPhone and are never uploaded by the app. Buying Signer Pro and restoring a purchase need an internet connection.

Do I need to pay?

Yes. To start using the app, you need Signer Pro or its free trial: Pro Yearly, an auto-renewing subscription with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, or Pro Lifetime, paid once. Neither plan includes Family Sharing. The price and any trial are shown in the app before you confirm. The full terms are in the terms of use.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Cancel in your Apple Account; deleting the app does not cancel it.

  • On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Signer Pro and tap Cancel Subscription.
  • Or, in the app, open Settings → Manage Subscription.

To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial or current period ends. You keep Signer Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.

I got a new iPhone or reinstalled the app. How do I get Signer Pro back?

Sign in with the Apple Account that bought it, open the app and tap Restore on the plans screen, or go to Settings → Restore Purchases. If the app says "No Signer Pro purchase was found for this Apple Account.", check that you are signed in to the App Store with the account you bought with. Restore brings back Signer Pro, not documents: documents are stored on the iPhone where you made them, and come back only if you restore that iPhone's backup.

My trial ended. Can I still open my documents?

Yes. Your documents stay on your iPhone, and you can still open them and place signatures. You can share or save again a document you already shared or saved. Finishing, sharing or saving any other document needs Signer Pro.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase.

The scanner or the camera doesn't open.

The app needs camera access to scan pages or photograph a signature. Open your iPhone's Settings, find Signer and turn on Camera. You can still import from Files or Photos without it.

A PDF won't open.

When you import a password-protected PDF, enter its password to unlock it. Signer keeps an unlocked copy, so it doesn't ask again, and the signed copy you share has no password. A PDF that is only an XFA form can't be used in the app; ask the sender for a standard PDF.

How do I delete a document or a saved signature?

Delete a document from the Documents list. Delete a saved signature in Settings → My signatures. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored. There is no server copy, so we cannot recover deleted documents.

Is my signature legally valid?

That depends on the law where you are and on who receives the document. Signer places your signature on the document; it does not verify identity or add a certificate. Check the requirements for important documents before you rely on them.

What does the app collect?

The app never sends your documents, signatures or anything you type to us or to analytics; they leave your iPhone only when you share or save them. The app sends usage events with a random identifier, and technical details, to PostHog, and your App Store purchase records to RevenueCat so it can unlock Signer Pro. See the privacy policy.
