Flip Clock: Big Digital Alarm (Flip Clock on your Home Screen) turns your iPhone or iPad into a big flip, digital or retro clock for your desk or nightstand, in your colors, with alarms that ring on Silent and in Focus, a 12/24-hour switch, night dimming and Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. Email us any time; we aim to reply within three business days.
Common questions
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No account and no sign-up. The clock and your alarms work offline. Buying a plan and restoring a purchase need an internet connection.
Do I need to pay?
Yes. Every feature needs the free trial or a plan: Yearly, an auto-renewing subscription with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, which you can share through Apple's Family Sharing, or Lifetime, paid once. The price and any trial are shown in the app before you confirm. The full terms are in the terms of use.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel in your Apple Account; deleting the app does not cancel it.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose the app and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Or, in the app, open Settings → Manage Subscription.
To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial or current period ends. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
I got a new iPhone or iPad, or reinstalled the app. How do I get my plan back?
Sign in with the Apple Account that bought it, open the app and tap Restore on the plans screen, or go to Settings → Restore Purchases. Restoring brings back your plan, not your alarms or look: those are kept on the device where you set them, and in its backups if you have them turned on.
My plan ended. What happens to my alarms?
Your alarms, look and settings stay in the app, and come back when you subscribe, buy Lifetime or restore an active plan. Alarms that are already on stay scheduled on your device and can still ring. Stop silences one ring; a repeating alarm stays on. To switch them all off, tap Turn off alarms on the plans screen (it shows while an alarm is scheduled) and confirm: your alarms stay in the list, switched off. Turning off the app's alarm access in Settings also stops them ringing.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments, so refunds go through Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase.
My alarm didn't ring.
- Open Alarms in the app. If it says alarms are off for this app, tap Open Settings and allow alarms.
- Check that the alarm is switched on and set for the right days.
- Alarms ring with the system alarm sound at your device's alarm volume. Use Test alarm in the alarm editor to hear it.
- A device that is switched off or has an empty battery cannot ring.
The screen turns off while the clock is showing.
By default the clock keeps the screen on only while your device is charging. Plug it in, or choose another option under Keep screen on in Settings. Keeping the screen on uses more battery.
How do I switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time?
Open Look and tap 12-hour or 24-hour. It starts out matching your device's own time format, and the change applies to the clock, your alarms and the widgets.
How do I delete an alarm?
Open the alarm in Alarms and tap Delete. Deleting the app deletes your alarms and settings. There is no server copy, so we cannot recover them.
What does the app collect?
Your alarm times, repeat days and labels are not sent to us. The app sends usage events with a random identifier, and technical details, to PostHog, and your App Store purchase records to RevenueCat so it can unlock your plan. See the privacy policy.
