What changed. Invoice Maker now offers auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store and Google Play. This revision replaces the former free-app section with subscription, free-trial, renewal, cancellation, restore and refund terms, and explains what happens to your documents when a subscription ends. Invoice Creator is now called Invoice Maker. Nothing else about the app, your data or your subscription changed.

Invoice Maker is made by KLM Labs. These terms describe the agreement between you and KLM Labs when you use the app. Please also read the Privacy Policy, which explains that your invoice and client data stays on your device and what the app collects, including for subscriptions.

On iPhone and iPad, Apple's standard licence also applies

Where Invoice Maker is downloaded from the Apple App Store, it is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, in addition to these terms. Where the two conflict on a point Apple's licence covers, Apple's licence governs. Subscriptions bought on the App Store are also subject to Apple's own terms for purchases.

What you may do with the app

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Invoice Maker on devices you own or control, for your own business or personal invoicing. You may use the invoices, estimates and PDFs you create for any lawful purpose, including commercially — they are your documents, not ours.

You may not resell, rent or redistribute the app itself, or use it to create documents that are fraudulent or unlawful.

Subscriptions

After first-run setup, Invoice Maker needs an active Invoice Maker Pro subscription or free trial. It gives you the whole app: creating, editing, previewing and sharing invoices and estimates, and keeping your clients.

Plans and prices. There is a yearly plan and a monthly plan. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase. In the United States the plans are US$39.99 a year and US$6.99 a month. Prices in other countries and currencies are set through the App Store or Google Play, may include local taxes, and are the ones shown to you at purchase.

Free trial. The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Apple or Google decides eligibility; generally, one trial per store account. When the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and you are charged unless you cancel before then. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. The monthly plan has no free trial.

Payment and automatic renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple Account (on the App Store) or your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel it before the renewal date. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If a price changes, Apple or Google notifies you, and asks for your agreement where their rules require it.

Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account, not in the app:

  • iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Invoice Maker and tap Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: open the Google Play Store, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose Invoice Maker and tap Cancel subscription.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. What happens when you cancel during a free trial follows the store’s rules.

Restoring. Subscriptions belong to the Apple Account or Google Play account that bought them; Invoice Maker has no account of its own. After reinstalling, or on a new device signed in to the same store account, tap Restore purchases on the subscribe screen. A subscription bought on the App Store cannot be used on Android, and a Google Play subscription cannot be used on iPhone or iPad.

Refunds. Apple and Google process all payments; KLM Labs never sees your card or bank details and cannot charge or refund your store account directly. For App Store purchases, request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, follow Google Play’s refund policies or email us, and we will review what we can do through Google Play. Refunds follow the store’s policies and applicable law.

Checking your subscription. The app checks your subscription each time it starts. It uses the store’s saved answer when you are offline; if there is none yet, it needs an internet connection to check. Subscribing and restoring also need a connection.

When a subscription ends. Your invoices, estimates and clients stay on your device. The next time the app starts, it shows the subscribe screen, and your records stay locked until you subscribe again or restore an active subscription. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

Changes to plans. We may change plans, prices or trial offers for new purchases. A change for existing subscribers is made through Apple or Google under their rules and notices.

Your data is yours, and it lives on your device

Invoice Maker stores your business details, clients, invoices and estimates locally on your device. We do not hold a copy, so we cannot recover your data for you if the device is lost, reset, or the app is uninstalled. Keep your own copies of anything you need — exported PDFs are stored wherever you choose to share or save them.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you put on an invoice, including tax rates, totals and client details. The app performs the arithmetic you ask it to; it does not give tax, accounting or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for an accountant.

Availability and changes

We may update the app, change or remove features, or stop distributing it.

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

No warranty, and the limit of our liability

Invoice Maker is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we exclude implied warranties.

To the extent the law allows, KLM Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business, or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law in your country, including any statutory right to a refund or remedy. If a term conflicts with a consumer right you have, that right wins.
